Lutheran Partnership Awarded Two Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity Homes
Your outstanding support of our Habitat for Humanity Lutheran Partnership has resulted in the opportunity to change two more families’ lives this year. Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity has awarded the Lutheran Partnership grants to build two homes in 2009 – one in San Juan Capistrano and one in Westminster.
In San Juan Capistrano, the Keyte family - John, Karen and their 2 teenager children – will anxiously await the construction start date of their home in July. Your fundraising effort for this Habitat for Humanity home has assured them the opportunity for a decent and affordable home. José Luis and Elida Diaz have two wonderful children, Stephanie, aged 13, and Abraham, aged 11, both of whom suffer from disabilities which will make living in a stable Westminster home a Blessing that they have prayed for. Fundraising is a key issue for this home. Your continued financial support is very much appreciated and will help us meet our planned July construction start date here as well.
Both homes are slated to begin construction this summer and be ready for move in by December. Volunteer opportunities will be in great demand! There are so many ways to share your time, talents and treasures – building, site host, lunch, monetary donations....
Please contact the Lutheran Partnership representative in your congregation to let them know you want to be a part of this life changing event. And be sure to tell him/her if you are a Thrivent member to get your name on the priority list.
